As a business owner, you are responsible for the people that are working for you each day. Many people are sensitive to some of the most commonly used cleaners and disinfectants. So, what can you do to keep the office place clean without causing skin or breathing issues for those employees who are sensitive to chemicals? Here, you will learn about some safe alternatives for your cleaners, such as:

Disinfectant

Disinfecting the workplace is important for many reasons, but you don't need harsh chemicals to get the job done. Instead, get a spray bottle, rubbing alcohol and water. Mix equal parts water and alcohol together and give it a shake.

This mixture can be used as a cleaner with a cloth or sprayed onto surfaces and allowed to dry. Either method of use is sure to kill any bacteria or germs living on the surface.

All-Purpose Product

Having the ability to grab one bottle of cleaner to get most of the work done around the office will expedite the cleaning process. This mixture will give you the cleaning power you need without the chemicals you don't.

Get a spray bottle and mix 1 cup of white vinegar, four cups of water, two teaspoons of baking soda and two teaspoons of liquid dish soap. Shake the bottle before each use. This mixture will cut dirt, grease, and grime as well as your harshest chemical-based cleaner.

Glass Cleaner

Toss out that bottle of ammonia-based glass cleaner. Instead, mix equal parts of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. This mixture will give the glass the streak-free shine that the ammonia does without the potent ammonia fumes.

Tip: Once the glass is clean, go over it with a clean coffee filter. This will buff out any streaks and remove any lint that may remain after the cleaning.

Wood Cleaner

All of the wood furniture needs to be thoroughly cleaned, but you don't need chemicals to do it – you just need lemon juice and linseed oil. Pour one cup of lemon juice and two cups of linseed oil into a spray bottle and shake it up. This mixture will clean the wood surfaces to a shine without the risk of leaving a waxy, hazy finish.
